Dear Friends,

HB 1711, the Illinois bill to ban horse slaughter, is scheduled for a hearing before the Illinois House Executive Committee on Wednesday, March 21st at 8:30 am in room 118 of the Capitol Building.

Immediate action is needed in support of this bill, which will ban both the slaughter of horses for human consumption as well as the trade of horse meat in Illinois.

Please call and fax the members of the House Executive Committee urging them to vote “YES” on HB 1711 both today and tomorrow.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ILLINOIS RESIDENTS

If you are in llinois resident, please try to attend the Executive Committee hearing to voice your support of HB 1711. We need as many of you as can possibly attend to be present in order to sign committee slips in support of HB 1711.
 
Again, the Executive Committee hearing will be held Wednesday, March 21st at 8:30 am in Room 118 of the Capitol Building.
